Both parents working does allow for a great deal of “fallow time” – even with after school activities and hanging out at “Jimmy’s house”, when the unspeakable is happening at a Dunkin Donuts bathroom along the way home from school. The culprits are many – one is consumerism (we really buy crap we do not need and this forces BOTH parents to work for more material goods)- two cars, new kitchen, re-do this,etc… unnecessary things presented as articles of prime necessity. Others? The sexual content of the world around us, and natural curiosity as well. One cannot deny nature – as parents we must be responsible and own up to more action on our behalf. We can blame Jamie Lynn Spears and other celebrities for out of wedlock, teen, etc pregnancies, but it all starts at home.
