Illinois – Land of Lincoln or Land of Corruption?

Arrogant, Stupid, Pitiful, Bad Haircut – Governor Rod Blagojevich has shown what many of his fellow Illini pols are made of. The FBI officer made a comment about IL being if not the most corrupt state in the Union, a strong competitor.

Why did it take so long to clean up? Why are there others he is aware of? (arrest them!) How many more scandals can we expect Mr. FBI?

First ex-Governor Spitzer and now this clown. Arrogant (oh, I said that) and vindictive. This man will go down in history with many epithets, his greed and drunken ambition did him in. Perhaps he thought he was above wire taps and other crude surveillance techniques? Selling a Senate seat…. just begs to ask: How many have been bought?

Will Caroline Kennedy be given Hillary’s seat just because? How is she more qualified than Fran Drescher? Really, she is just a Kennedy, many of them drunkards, philanderers and some great statesmen. Is she buying the seat?

Time to clean up America my friends. These guys belong in Venezuela as supporters of the Chavez regime along with mediocrity abettors Sean Penn and Danny Glover. Perhaps banishment to Cuba for corrupt pols is a better punishment. Screw them all.

Titles and Such

I sometimes think of great movie titles or even book titles… my thought this morning was that a book entitled” “The Teabagging of America” would illustrate the depths to which our system has fallen since the Boston Tea Party took place. the recent bail out and the sham voting process displays that we are beyond a bi-partisan system It is time for a strong 3rd movement to come forward.

Both parties require urgent reform – yet I ask myself, why are we caught in this false dichotomy? The forces that be have us voting for two undesirables. Abstention is actually the higher percentage amid the obscene expenses that we are forced to endure.

The Suburban Myth: Voting for Obama

Home of the 197M Latte!

Home of the 197M Latte!

As I stroll the streets of Newton MA I cannot help but chuckle at the amount of “Obama/Biden” lawn signs strewn randomly about. Why? This is an upper middle class city (for the most part) and I suspect many of the “liberal, white, pseudo-intellectual” voters are ashamed of being called racist if they voice support for McCain.

Why would people from Newton vote for Obama? Compassion? Try crossing a street in Newton Center and more often than not a prick in a beamer will disregard state law and try you out as a hood ornament! Fall off your bicycle, be assured you have a better chance of being helped if you had fallen in Cambridge where people ride bikes as transportation.  There is a great deal of “facadery” in this town – nice cars, manicured lawns, haute couture, but little substance (the Library rocks!).  I am not saying that voting for Obama requires substance, it actually is a desperation move. He stands to take away more from Newtonites than McCain does. Newtonites voted against budget increases the last time around stifling some key programs in the city, a city that is WASTING millions in project overruns on Newton North High School under the guise of “renovations and expansions”. Why would we want increased taxes on our properties and larger wasteful government?

Unfortunately John McCain offers little leadership – he is a like a rudderless ship right now with a jawing attack dog (or bitch) barking away while the ship sinks. The Maverick of old is a Pinto and is imploding.

That may be the only reason people in Newton MA are voting for Obama, but If you were to tell me it was “progressive convictions”, well, then these people need a primer in urbanity and basic caring for their neighbors.

Where are the Business Leaders in this Whole Mess: The War on Terror Begins in the USA

Great Blog post on Bail Out

One of the biggest questions is that CEO’s of major companies have evaporated in the middle of this media frenzy and mess. The opinions of political candidates are worthless – the pols like Pelosi cause mayhem; yet she helped out those of us that oppose this indiscriminate bail out of thieves.

It reminds me of the terrorist methods used by many of enemies – hold innocent children in front as shields… now the subtext is we will sink the average Joe is this bailout does not happen.

All along our most dangerous enemies have been running our economy… We must hold these people accountable. A bail out cannot be made with out provisions for accountability. Blaming the Sarbanes-Oxley act for a mis-valuation is simply wrong. The very Act was implemented to prevent the type of crap we are seeing. This is a dismal failure. The failure of regulation. Not to prove its futility, rather that we focus on the wrong things, jumping through hoops, without noticing that when we get to the end, the building burned down…

Angry Obama Good for the Dems

Obama displaying anger and playing the Bait and See game is starting to gain traction on the gullible area of the electorate. It is shocking to see the display of swaying in the polls given that WORDS never won a War that kills people with bullets and definite actions. Obama’s populist message is now being countered by McCain’s populist message since hell, Obama started off by copying McCain and selecting an Angry White Man (Biden) as his mate, you can run the math and see that Obama realizes that his intellectual professor type stuff does not work out.

The American public is ill-informed, they fell for the stock market, why should they not fall for Obama’s promises of Middle Class entitlements?

Media Bias May Have Backfired – La Prensa quedo metida

McCain-Palin Futuros Lideres de los EEUU

McCain-Palin Futuros Lideres de los EEUU

The media frenzy surrounding Gov. Palin’s selection last Friday as the Republican Party’s Vice Presidential candidate may have set up the stage for her own deliverance. Over 37 million viewers tuned in to watch her and listen to watch she had to say. More media outlets were present than during Senator Obama’s acceptance speech. It was interesting as I had expected less coverage and simply a dismissal from this media. However it is not about pro-Obama bias as much as it is to draw blood and seek a story. They were expecting a bad speech, shakiness and in general they wanted the Governor to flop under the inhumane pressure she and her family have been forced to bear owing to the scrutiny of her daughter. It would have provided more circus material for their vampiric desires…

A normal parent would have caved and told everyone to “screw”. Ms. Palin rose to the occasion and was able to show the world that she is a leader now – she has the mettle to be a Vice President. Welcome Sarah.

Bienvenida Sarah!

NECN Coverage of Republican Convention: Sad

New England Cable Network’s coverage of the convention has been very slanted. The Leaning Tower of Pisa would have been proud at the accomplishment as the female reporter questioned President Bush’s absence from the Convention with suspicion, while both he and Republican Governor Bobby Jindal were addressing the emergency situation spawned by Hurricane Gustav. She spoke of the video link yet failed to mention WHY the President was not there. How convenient.

They spoke of the lack of star power… they ignore the new generation of Republicans (or dismiss them) and feel that implicitly the Dems have better pols at their service. My taxes subsidize this drivel. Sad.

Teen Palin Pregnancy and the true Barracudas

The next week(s) will prove a veritable crucible for the Palin family as the revelation of their 17 year old unwed daughter sinks in. While the attacks have been coming from the left at an incessant rate, and it has been their unyielding hipocrisy that has questioned Gov. Palin’s VP Candidacy, the interesting reaction will be that coming from the extreme right of the Republican party. The fundies, whom this candidacy might have appeased according to lefties, might not be all that happy with Palin on the ticket in view of this development. It underscores the difficulty for parents to maintain tabs on their kids. We want the best for our children and seem to think that restricting them with a a 7 PM curfew will somehow protect them from engaging in premarital sex at noon…

Senator McCain’s mettle will be proven under this new storm – to many, including myself, this only proves that all -regardless of their political beliefs – are human and should be respected as such.

Double Standards – The Obama-phile way

http://obama.senate.gov/votes/index.cfm?start=1 <- Barack Obama’s voting record. Really not showing up to work eh? He has a lot in common with Deval Patrick, Governor of Massachusetts who never shows up for for since he was elected.

Dennis Kucinich on the other hand shows up to work: http://votesmart.org/voting_category.php?can_id=318

The Governor of Alaska actually works as can be evidenced from the reforms she has brought to the state and being a mom of 5 at the same time. Seems that liberal women are threatened by her prowess.
