Second Offerings and Such

Well, it was a great Saturday morning brunch and all of us out on the patio at Wendl’s (except the wife and the baby) in Franconia NH were forty somethings. One of the guys sent a congratulations our way for Ilan… he announced that he and his wife were expecting, and then John my brother proudly announced that he too was a dad to be, to which a third bespectacled guy announced that he had a toddler at home… I retorted that we must have a population boost at least in the USA? I also told them it was my “second offering”, that I had a couple of older boys too from a previous marriage…He smiled and said it was the case with him…. here we were, four men older than 40 all with toddlers or expecting new babes… It was one of those moments that unites you with complete strangers, for a good reason. What a way to have breakfast!
